Britney Spears fans have uncovered documents detailing the payment Kevin Federline allegedly received from Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, the same year her conservatorship began.

The documents are being circulated again as Spears’ ex-husband faces backlash over recent comments that appear to criticize the embattled pop star.

During an interview with the Daily Mail, Federline admitted he believes the guardianship Jamie Spears had over Britney “saved” her.

“This whole thing has been harder to watch, harder to live through, harder to see my boys pull through than anything,” Federline explained. “It was hard. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”

“I’ve seen this man who really cares about his family and really cares about his family and wants everything to be okay,” he continued. “When Jamie took over [the convervatorship], things have come out alright. He saved her life.”

Fans are now questioning whether Federline may have benefited from Spears being under a conservatory and what prompted him to speak out now.

Kevin Federline was reportedly paid for by Britney Spears’ estate while she was a conservator.

In 2009, during Spears’ “Circus” tour, Federline was reportedly being paid $30,000 a month to tour with the singer and their two children, Jayden and Sean, on NME.
