New updates will be added at the end of this story…….

Original story (published September 19, 2022) follows:

At their annual event on September 7th, Apple introduced the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple has undoubtedly raised the bar this year, particularly with the new iPhone 14 Pro series powered by the A16 Bionic, the fastest chipset, as well as a new camera system.

Across the iPhone 14 series, Apple introduced groundbreaking safety features including Crash Detection, which can now detect a serious car accident and automatically call emergency SOS services.

However, several iPhone 14 and 14 Pro users have complained that their devices overheat or get warm even with minimal use (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

It seems that some iPhone 14 Pro Max users are also facing a similar problem.

Due to this problem, some iPhone owners claim that their phones keep heating up even when they are not running CPU/GPU intensive applications. Others claim that it heats up easily.

This heating is usually generated from the right side of the camera hump or the top left corner of the iPhone screen. It then radiates to the sides and is felt across the entire front of the screen.

One iPhone owner said that restarting the device fixed the overheating issue, while another user suggests turning off the always-on display.

My iPhone 14Pro Max gets very hot when charging and using it at the same time. Even without charging, when browsing the website, the phone itself feels warm. Is that normal?

Hello, I have a lot of iPhones from my family that use different chargers around the house. I set up my 14 Pro flawlessly today. Everything is perfect except no matter what charger I use, the phone gets exceptionally hot. So hot that I get a message saying the phone has stopped charging due to overheating. Does anyone have this problem?

Additionally, some users claim that a new iPhone will likely run hotter and use more power to load updates for a few days, at least until things stabilize.

Luckily, the problem doesn’t seem to be widespread, so there’s no need to put potential buyers off buying the new iPhone 14 series.

We’ll keep a close eye on further developments and update the article if anything of note emerges.
