Vicki Gunvalson made a bombastic claim about her ex-fiancé Steve Lodge at BravoCon on Sunday.
“He’s cheating on his wife, I’m sure of it,” the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County grad claimed during the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club panel. “And I have proof that he is. A cheater is a cheater.”
Gunvalson did not elaborate on the evidence she claims to possess proving her ex’s infidelity, and she did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment Monday.
Lodge told Page Six about the allegations: “I would never cheat on Janis. I have no idea what Vicki is lying about now. This is just another stunt by Vicki to get attention.”
The former California gubernatorial candidate, 64, married schoolteacher Janis Carlson in April, less than a year after he broke up with Gunvalson in September 2021.
The same month that the former couple ended their two-year engagement, Lodge and Carlson, 38, began dating.
Gunvalson then publicly slapped her ex, claiming he cheated, lied and used her.
“While I was out of town on a business trip, [Lodge] took [the woman] to my condo in Mexico!” she claimed in a post on Instagram in October 2021. “He was bragging about OC in my town and making out in public places. It’s disgusting.”
However, Lodge denied ever being unfaithful at the time, claiming his relationship with Gunvalson ended as of December 2020.
“I personally did that verbally and explained it to her in writing,” he told us exclusively. “I’m sorry Vicki can’t help it [sic] but it was about time.”
Nearly four months later, Gunvalson explained to Page Six why she felt misled by her ex that year, claiming they were on and off on and off.
“I’ll give him credit for saying we broke up,” the Bravolebrity exclusively told us in February.
“But when you break up with someone, you stop sleeping in their bed and you stop living with them. So that was my fault for not taking it at face value because I didn’t want to break up.”
She added: “If he says he didn’t cheat on me, then why did you keep living with me? That’s my question for him. Why did you make me believe that we’d be alright? Because I was there all my life.”
Despite the back-and-forth with Lodge, Gunvalson seems to have moved on when she announced she had a new boyfriend in June.
“My heart is happy,” the reality star captioned a series of photos on Instagram. “It’s great to introduce Michael to my amazing family. Lots of laughs and lots of fun.”
Gunvalson also exclusively told Page Six at BravoCon the gratitude she feels today for her blossoming love life.
“It wasn’t good this time last year. I wanted to die,” she admitted. “I mean, I was so depressed. So I did a lot of research, kept a lot of diary. I read my Bible every day. I reflect it as a season.”
The RHOC alum said the s-tty seasons in her life have allowed her to “learn from it and realize this is just a season and we’re going to get through it.”
However, after experiencing heartbreak with Lodge, Gunvalson vowed she would never “give.” [herself] 100 percent” to another man.
“And that way I won’t get hurt anymore. And that’s fine,” she told us. “I don’t know if my guard will ever fall.”
