PHILADELPHIA– Carter Hart 48 saves for the Philadelphia Flyers in Thursday’s 4-3 win over the Florida Panthers at the Wells Fargo Center.
Joel Farabee had a goal and an assist, and Travis Konecny and Kevin Hayes each had two assists for Philadelphia (5-2-0), who led 21-5 in the third period.
“This is a big win against a good hockey team,” Hart said. “Just take one shot at a time, whether I’m doing 20 or 50 shots.”
Gustav Forsling, Josh Mahura and Brandon Montor scored for Florida (4-3-1). Sergei Bobrovsky Made 18 saves.
The Panthers had a season high of 51 shots on goal.
“We had 104 shots,” said Florida coach Paul Maurice. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. History is their keeper. We missed a few but when you have that many on the net I don’t think you can criticize too much.”

Forsling gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 3:41 with a shot from high position.
Tony DeAngelo Tie 1-1 at 6:41 when he finished off a no-look backhand pass from Konecny.

Konecny went 22-14, the second most game he has played this season, and it came after he was benched in the third period of a 3-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.
“I wanted to react properly,” said Konecny. “The previous game wasn’t a good performance for me, actually the last two games. So I wanted to make sure I’m doing as much as I can tonight to help the team and just commit to doing the right things.”

Zack MacEwen redirected Nick Seelershot to 10-17 in the second period to give Philadelphia a 3-2 lead.
Moments later, Hayes slid in on a breakaway but lost the puck. He grabbed it off the end pegs and sent it to the top of the net where Farabee knocked it in at 11:29 for a 4-2.
“We slowly started [but I] I thought we picked up parts of the second half and then just stuck it out,” said Flyers coach John Tortorella.
Montour scored a power play goal after 36 seconds in the third game to make it 4-3 in the final. It was the Panthers’ first man-advantage goal in six games, ending in a 26-0 sled.
“We have some good looks, some clean looks,” Montour said. “I want us to be a little faster. I think we’re trying to make games a little too perfect. We have some good shooters. It was nice to get one early in the third, but still there’s work to be done.”
