  • Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer stunned the court at a demonstration on Monday.

  • Attorney Alan Jackson removed his suit jacket during cross-examination in court.

  • He then told one of Weinstein’s accusers that he would “go no further.”

During a courtroom demonstration where he removed his jacket, attorney Alan Jackson assured Lauren Young – a prosecutor for disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein – that he would not continue to undress in court.

Young’s testimony on Monday was part of the week-long trial of Weinstein, who faces 11 counts of sexual assault arising from allegations by five different women who accused him of molesting them in Los Angeles hotels between 2004 and 2013.

Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year sentence in a New York jail following an East Coast trial, but faces an additional life sentence if found guilty at a trial. He pleaded not guilty and denied the allegations.

Young, one of five women who testified at the LA trial, also testified at Weinstein’s New York trial.

During her testimony Monday, Young recalled meeting Weinstein at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills in 2013 while working as a model and aspiring actress to go through a script she was working on, the Associated Press reported.

According to Young’s testimony, meeting Weinstein resulted in her being locked in a room alone with the ex-mogul, who stripped fully naked, fondled her and masturbated in front of her, the AP reported. Young told the court she had said “no” to Weinstein on multiple occasions.

“I was afraid of Harvey Weinstein — that he would hurt me, or send someone to hurt me, or ruin my career, or make my life a living hell,” Young said, according to the AP.

Attorney Jackson, during cross-examination, decided to challenge Young’s account of the incident, including whether or not Weinstein could have removed his clothes in the brief period Young recollected.

To demonstrate how quickly someone like Weinstein could have undressed, Jackson removed his suit jacket and then said, “I’m just taking off my jacket, I’m not going any further.”

“Please don’t,” Young replied.

Los Angeles Times reporter James Queally recalled the moment “leading to a series of stunned looks” that were exchanged in the courtroom.

Jackson continued to press Young, who replied Weinstein could have started by undressing in the hallway to the room where she was eventually locked up, the AP reported. Young likened it to a model change during a fashion show.

“Does Mr. Weinstein seem like a role model to you?” Jackson asked, according to the AP.

“No, but he’s definitely a monster,” Young said.

Weinstein’s attorneys have drawn attention to themselves with their bold statements before.

During the opening statement, Weinstein’s fellow defense attorney, Mark Werksman, accused former actress and wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, of “being another bimbo who slept with Harvey Weinstein to get ahead in Hollywood.”

Jackson did not respond to Insider’s request for comment.
