Release date, specifications and prices of Apple TV 4K

Yesterday Apple announced the new generation of the Apple TV 4K.

Available with both WiFi and WiFi + Ethernet options, this third-generation 4K TV promises to be more powerful with better cinematic quality than previous generations.

The 4K TV is Apple’s answer to the Amazon Firestick or Roku, allowing you to make your home viewing experience as good as possible with 4K picture quality (as long as what you’re watching is in that resolution) and Dolby Atmos sound .

In the year since its last release, Apple has made great strides in its sustainability commitments, and this generation of 4K TVs uses nearly 30 percent less power than the previous generation, with an overall 25 percent reduction in the device’s carbon footprint.

The new generation Apple TV 4K was announced on Tuesday October 18 and is available to pre-order now. The general release will take place on Friday November 4th when the product will be available in stores and online.

The design of the new Apple TV 4K doesn’t seem to break any boundaries as it looks quite similar to the previous model.

The device’s hardware and Siri remote are designed to blend seamlessly into your home and let the cinematic experience shine through. At 93mm square and both models weighing less than 215g, it probably won’t take up too much space in your living room.

The device is powered by the new A15 Bionic chip, which offers faster performance and smoother gameplay than previous models. This 4K TV still has the features that made previous generations so popular, including connectivity to other Apple devices.

Apple describes the 4K TV as part of its ecosystem, meaning you have full access to various aspects of the brand. First things first — it wouldn’t be an Apple TV without Apple TV+, the brand’s own streaming service that’s home to unique content like the recently renewed Ted Lasso, Oscar-winning Coda and star-studded drama The Morning Show.

The 4K TV also offers access to other Apple features including Apple Music, the Apple Arcade gaming platform and Apple Fitness+, as well as the ability to add your other streaming services like Netflix and Disney Plus.

This new Apple 4K TV also comes with the updated tvOS 16 which includes an update for Siri allowing for faster and easier voice control that recognizes each user’s voice individually – very snazzy! You can also connect your AirPods, iPhone or iPad to the 4k TV, meaning you can view your photos or use Facetime on the big screen.

There are two versions of the Apple TV 4K available at different prices.

The WiFi version comes with 64GB of storage and costs £149, while the other version – WiFi + Ethernet – has 128GB of storage and costs £169.

The 64GB version is good if you want to stream your favorite shows and movies and just download a few apps. If you plan to use your Apple TV 4K to download lots of games and apps, the 128GB version might be right for you.
