Britney Spears has responded to ex-husband Kevin Federline’s “hurting” claims about her relationship with her sons.

“The guys have decided that they don’t see her at the moment. It’s been a few months since they saw her,” Federline, 44, told the Daily Mail.

Federline claimed the boys made their own decision not to attend their mother’s recent wedding to Sam Asghari, 28. Federline said regardless of their presence, the boys are “happy” for their mother and “wish her and Sam all the best in the future.” ”

“This whole thing has been harder to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything,” Federline said in the interview, referring to Spears’ recently ended Conservation fight. “It was hard. It’s the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced in my life.”

Spears, 40, was released from her 13-year conservatorship in November. Contrary to popular belief, Federline said he believed Spears’ father Jamie’s guardianship “saved” Spears Poisonous Singer.

“I’ve seen this man who really cares about his family and really cares about his family and wants everything to be okay,” Federline said in the interview. “When Jamie took over, things got alright. He saved her life.”

Federline also told the Daily Mail that Spears’ frequent near-naked Instagram posts had had a negative impact on her sons, calling the situation “tough”.

The former dancer said he tried to explain to his sons that “maybe this is just a different path [Spears] trying to express yourself.”

“But that doesn’t change the fact of what it’s doing to them,” Federline added. “I can’t imagine what it’s like to have to go to high school as a teenager.”

On Saturday, Spears responded to Federline’s claims on her Instagram story.

“It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to speak up about the relationship between me and my children,” she wrote.

“As we all know, raising teenagers is not easy for anyone. It worries me that the reason is based on my Instagram…it was WAY before Instagram,” Spears continued. “I gave them everything. Just one word: HURT… I’ll say it… My mother said to me, ‘You should GIVE her to her father.’ I share this because I can. Have a nice day folks!!!”

On Sunday, Spears shared another post on Instagram, adding what she said in her story the day before. Spears was referring to Federline’s current wife, Victoria Prince, who told the Daily Mail: “Whatever happens outside has nothing to do with this house.”

“Conservatory has only been over 8 months!!!!” Spears wrote in the emoji-filled post. “Reminder that the trauma and insults that come with fame and this business doesn’t just affect me it affects my kids too!!!! I’m only human and I’ve done my best.”

“During my conservatory I was controlled and monitored for almost 15 years…I needed a permit just to take Tylenol!!! I should get into WAAAY more than laying topless on the beach like a baby!!!!” Spears wrote.

Asghari also issued a statement on social media, writing on his Instagram story: “His statement regarding the distancing of the children is not valid and it is irresponsible to make that statement public.”

“The boys are very smart and will soon be 18 to make their own decisions and may eventually realize that the ‘hard’ part was having a father who hasn’t worked much in over 15 years , as a role model,” he continued.

“Kevin’s gravy train will end soon [sic] probably explains the timing of these hurtful comments,” Asghari wrote. “I don’t know him personally and I have nothing against him, apart from the fact that he made up his mind [sic] to slander my wife. His character is revealed by the cruel 13-year-old’s approval [conservatorship] and his loyalty to Jaimie [sic] shows its approval even at the time of its conception.”
