Samsung continued its advertising campaign to denigrate Apple devices today, this time sharing a series of tweets highlighting Apple’s lack of a foldable iPhone and pitting the iPhone 14 Pro’s 48MP camera against the Galaxy S22’s 108MP camera became.
“What the hell, Apple?” reads the first tweet hinting at the launch date of Samsung’s first foldable device. The second tweet has the same first-to-foldables theme, while the third notes that Samsung devices have had higher-megapixel cameras for several years.
Samsung has been sharing anti-Apple ads even before announcing the new iPhone 14 models, and the company has a long history of insulting Apple devices to promote its own products. “Buckle your seatbelts for Apple’s latest launch,” read an ad published in early September. “When you enter a world where heads are turning, no one is allowed in your direction. Where the smartphone with the highest resolution is in someone else’s pocket.”
A second “Join the flip side” ad that appeared on Thursday tried to convince iPhone users to switch to the Galaxy Flip by showing a die-hard iPhone fan longing for foldable technology.
Samsung has poked fun at Apple’s design decisions like removing the headphone jack in the past, only to follow suit and make the same move a few years later. Samsung has a head start in this case, having been the first company to bring foldable devices and high-resolution cameras to market, but it will be interesting to see if there are “iPhone 14 Pro” features Samsung will adopt in the future.
