Kondansha Ltd. Debut family battle action fighting game

Japanese manga publisher Kondansha has ended early access for its latest action fighting game – Family Battle 2vs2 Arena.

From the manga publishers who have published works for attack on TitanSailor Moon and Akirahas kondansha ltd. adopted a new art form to display their work. Recently this week, Kondansha released Early Access for their PC game, Family battle 2vs2 arena on Steam. The editor stressed the importance of teamwork in this 2v2 3D action co-op fighting game.

The game had a very interesting description of Kondansha: “Karaage. Japanese Fried Chicken. Squeeze a lemon or drizzle mayonnaise over this tender, bite-sized treat? If only a single plate is presented to him, a quarrel over this age-old question will lead to an epic feud between the two rival factions of this super-powered family!”

The theme they mentioned revolved around the “family feud” where each family member had a different take on the perfect karaage dish and how they could be resolved in 2v2 co-op battles. Indie game developers, Kondansha Game Creator’s Lab (GCL), explained that it’s important to have two players on each team, with one player being the attacker and the other being support. The basic idea would be that the attacker would attack and deal a lot of melee damage, while the support player would help with ranged attacks and a variety of abilities.

Kondansha GCL noted that “Teamwork was key”. They explained how each character could be played as an attacker or support, but their abilities change depending on the role they are chosen for. For example, the eldest son was endowed with fast movement speed, so being an attacker could be an advantage. When the grandfather is then equipped as a support, he would have an ability that would allow him to throw bouncing bombs that would limit an opponent’s movements.

Four characters have been revealed so far: Brother Kuon, Sister Akane, Grandfather Ryugen, and Father Kokushi. Of course, each playable had a backstory with different personalities and abilities. You already hinted that more characters would be introduced later. With the advent of fighting games like MultiVersus and the banter of Riot Games League of Legends-based Project Lthe boundaries of the fighting genre could be endless.

While Kondansha’s game will focus on the 3D aspects, Project L would use 2D side scrolling art. and MultiVersus reflects the style of Super Smash Bros. Games that have come before. The fighting genre has evolved rapidly from the roots of Tekkenstreet fighter, Mortal Kombat and many more.

Kondansha GCL announced that Early Access would last about three months. They noticed how the price could change later, especially if there would be additional content. For now, family fight was listed at around $9.00 with its small introductory sale, but $11.49 for its regular price.

The game’s team also answered questions about the available playable modes. Currently, players can only participate in Custom Online Match Mode and Online Match Mode. However, you already said that the full version would have an online ranked match system. The game publishers acknowledged that three months would be enough time to gather feedback from the community through videos and actual gameplay.

Like many games made in Japan, the family fight English is not supported for the time being. The UI, characters, and menus would all be in Japanese text and audio would be in Japanese. the game developer, nekogameteacher (Yoshiaki Nakamichi) is known for her other games such as Super Drink Bros. and Spy Rumble.

When Super Drink Bros. was released on November 13, 2020 on Steam, Nakamichi constantly posted and streamed his game development footage on YouTube and Twitch. He was famous for his Twitch livestream that showed his attempt to create a game in 48 hours and it was titled Ultimate Super Powers Old Maid ~3 Days~.

Overall, the game seemed to be Nakamichi’s biggest project to date – especially with the significant backing from Kondansha Ltd. Family battle 2vs2 arena is currently available to purchase and play on Steam (PC) as of August 5, 2022.

Here’s a list of the four characters and their descriptions to whet your appetite:

• Brother: Kuon
• Calm and collected, he tends to emulate his father. However, he talks a lot and has a somewhat startling penchant for starting arguments on social media. However, for some reason, he finds it difficult to show confidence when his sister is around. Kuon’s weapon of choice is his trusty laser pistol. When it comes to karaage, he usually takes neck meat.

• Sister: Akane
• Always cocky, she is the most competitive member of the family. Despite this, she loves them all very much and often dedicates poems to them on her social media. Her weapon of choice is a giant hammer. When it comes to karaage, thigh meat is her choice.

• Grandfather: Ryugen
• Committed tinkerer and inventor. Although he holds numerous patents, few of his inventions are of the kind that actually benefit society. His weapons consist of various junk items and mechanical firearms of his own creation. When it comes to karaage, it’s all about the cartilage.

• Father: Kokushi
• A typical day’s work consists of battling pesky sales quotas using his unmatched clerical skills. However, when the real battle begins, he enters the fray with the power of darkness. Due to his inability to properly express his feelings to the outside world, there is a powerful storm of human emotions at heart. When it comes to karaage, he prefers wings.
