Boston Bruins
goalie Jeremy Swayman and defender Derek Forbort Everyone is for the Bruins week after week, coach Jim Montgomery said.
Swayman (lower body) will be evaluated and a statement on Forbort (upper body) is expected later Thursday. The players have returned to Boston.
Eacn was injured in Boston’s 6-5 overtime win at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday; Swayman at 5:42 of the second period when Bruins are in the middle Patrice Bergeron fell into him and Forbort on the first blocking of a shot.
The Bruins remembered the goalie Keith Kinkaid of Providence of the American Hockey League on Wednesday in an emergency. Kinkaid served as a backup for Linus Ullmark when Boston visited the New York Rangers on Thursday.
Mike Reilly will replace Forbort. Reilly has been a healthy scratch in the last three games.
Montgomery also said up front David Krejci and CraigSmith, each absent due to an upper body injury, are part of everyday life. Neither played Thursday, but could if Boston visits the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Ottawa Senators
Cam Talbot dressed for the first time since suffering a broken rib in training camp as the Senators hosted the Vegas Golden Knights at the Canadian Tire Center on Thursday.
Talbot who served as backup goalie Anton ForsbergHe was expected to be out for 5-7 weeks when the injury was announced on October 3.
“It feels good,” Talbot said. “It’s torture. You never know when these things will actually heal themselves. There is nothing one can do to speed up the process. I was just trying to stay ready, stay in shape and it’s good to be back out there with the lads finally.”
Senators coach DJ Smith said Talbot could have played Thursday if needed and could face the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
“The plan is we have to get him to play,” Smith said. “He’s an all-star goalie and he didn’t go through the first 10 games. We need to get him in some games. We know he can help us and he’ll give us a bit of confidence when he gets in there.”
Talbot was acquired on July 12 in a trade with the Minnesota Wild. He was 32-12-4 with a 2.76 clean sheet average, a .911 save percentage and three shutouts in 49 games (48 starts) with the Wild last season and was 0-1 with a 4.15 GAA and one Saving rate of .846 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Forsberg has started eight of the Senators’ nine games this season (4-5-0) and missed several practice sessions to cope with fatigue and a nagging injury.
“He stopped us in those games and gave us a chance to win every night,” Talbot said of Forsberg. “It will be nice to give him a break, which is coming soon. I’m sure he’s looking forward to it too.” – Callum Fraser
Montreal Canadiens
Joel Edmundson will make his season debut for the Canadiens against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; TSN3, TSN2, RDS, ESPN+, SN NOW).
The defenseman missed the first 10 games of the season with a lower body injury.
Edmundson, who will run on the second pair Arber XhekajLast season, he had six points (three goals, three assists) in 24 games with the Canadiens.
Winnipeg Jets
Morgan Baron will have wrist surgery on Friday. The striker is expected to be out for 4-5 weeks.
Barron last played in the Jets’ 2-1 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday and practiced Tuesday but not Wednesday. Coach Rick Bowness said the injury is something that has been going on for some time.
“He’s involved,” Bowness said. “There’s a little bone in there and Morgan has been playing with it but the more it gets worse. For the team, he sucked it up and played it through, but it gets to a point where it affects the way you play and you’re not as effective for your team. So let’s fix it.”
Barron has four points (one goal, three assists) in nine games and averages a 1:18 penalty shootout per game, giving him a tied spot among Winnipeg forwards.
Bowness also said up front Nikolai Ehlers was making progress from an undisclosed injury but was unwilling to put a timeline on when he could play again.
Ehlers has not played since October 17 and will miss his eighth straight game.
“It’s improving at a slower pace than we had hoped, but it’s improving,” Bowness said. “To put it on a schedule, no. But at least there is progress. We would hope it would go faster, but it isn’t. But there is progress.”
Minnesota Wild
The Wild will field 11 forwards and seven defenders when they host the Seattle Kraken at the Xcel Energy Center on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; BSN, BSWI, ROOT-NW, ESPN+, SN NOW).
Minnesota is without a forward Brandon Duhaime, Markus Foligno, Ryan Hartman and Jordan Greenwayeach due to an upper body injury.
Duhaime left the team in the second half of a 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday. Coach Dean Evason remained unclear on details of the injury or a recovery timeline.
“I’m not 100 percent, I didn’t even know it happened,” Evason said Wednesday. “The trainers came to me and said he was looked at and next they came back and said he was out. They’re still looking at when it happened.”
Greenway attended Wednesday’s optional practice but will not play. Evason said Foligno, Hartman and Duhaime will miss at least the next two games, but it’s possible to join the Wild on a three-game road trip beginning Nov. 8 with the Los Angeles Kings.
“[Greenway] will surely come and then maybe [any of the other three]’ Evason said. “You have four days (between games) and in those four days we’re going to take those two full days off so it’s going to be a nice time for us to rest.”
Greenway has missed the last six games, Foligno has missed two and Hartman has missed one. -Jessi Pierce
