Marriage has proven to be quite a “challenge”. CT Tamburello.
The challenge Star has filed for divorce from his wife Lilianet “Lili” Solares after just four years of marriage. TMZ broke the news on Friday that CT had filed in Florida to end his marriage to Lili, the mother of his six-year-old son CJ.
According to Florida court records obtained by The Ashley, CT has already hired an attorney to help him with the divorce, but Lili has yet to get legal counsel. Lili was officially served with the divorce papers Monday, and based on the addresses listed for CT and Lili, they were still living together at the time of the service. (It appears that the house they live in was bought back in April.)
However, the filing states that while Lili and CT share a home, they never dated.
“The parties currently reside in the same house, but not as husband and wife,” the divorce filing obtained by The Ashley reads. “A breakup is imminent.”
As a reason for CT’s filing for divorce, he states that “the marriage of the parties has broken up irretrievably.”
CT is demanding that parenting responsibilities for their son CJ continue to be shared and that both he and Lili are given equal time with their son. CT demands that the court draw up a parenting plan if he and Lili are unable to work out the custody plan themselves.
Interestingly, CT requests that Lili help pay his legal/attorney fees “if necessary”.
While CT didn’t officially end the marriage until Monday, his relationship with Lili was even riddled with issues before They were married in 2018 (on an MTV wedding special).
During the “Double Agents” season of “The Challenge” in 2020, CT announced that he and Lili had split.
“The marriage wasn’t going well,” CT said during a confessional this season. “We’re separated and I feel like I’ve been running from problems for a long time. I feel like they finally caught up with me. I couldn’t lie to myself anymore.”
CT and Lili eventually reconciled; However, their marriage was always off and on. she did appear together in June on the MTV Film and Television Awardsand based on CT calling Lili his “babies” in an Instagram caption, they appeared to be dating at the time.
Ashley found out that Lili and CT actually legally married on May 31, 2018, according to the divorce filing. Not September 8, 2018 as presented on MTV.
Months before their wedding, Lili actually filed to confirm CT’s paternity from CJ. In January 2018, Lili asked the court to confirm CT was CJ’s father and organize a parenting plan (since she and CT were not dating at the time).
In this parenting plan, Lili requested that CT be awarded only 31 nights with her son, while she received 334 nights. In April 2018, however, before a hearing could take place, Lili moved to have the entire case dismissed. A month later, she and CT legally married, and four months later, CT and Lili married for the MTV cameras.
The Ashley has Also discovered why CT had to take a paternity test in 2018 to prove CJ was his child. According to court records obtained by The Ashley, Lili was married once before marrying CT. Her first marriage lasted from November 2013 to July 2015. Her first husband filed for divorce in May 2015, stating that their marriage was “broken apart beyond recovery.” He gives March 2015 as the date of separation.
Lili and CT’s son, CJ, was born in January 2016 – some 9.5 months after Lili’s first husband claimed he and Lili had split.
CT and Lili have yet to publicly comment on their divorce.
