She-Hulk: Lawyer is almost done with its nine-episode first season on Disney+, delivering a wild new story with a fresh character in Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters. Like some of its predecessors in Phase 4, She Hulk was also the subject of much criticism, although much of it was unjustified by its nature.
Some of the complaints have expressed dissatisfaction with the show’s use of CGI, with She-Hulk being the first MCU Disney+ series to focus on a main hero so dependent on visual effects. But another sect of viewers has bombarded the series with more toxic comments, causing several stars to lash out at those remarks on social media.
Now, with only two episodes left, one more She Hulk star has cracked down on this group of fans with new comments on a thread to celebrate their excitement for the rest of the story.
She-Hulk’s Titania Star comes back for criticism
She-Hulk: Lawyer Star Jameela Jamil accepted Twitter sharing a video of herself in one of her fabulous outfits from the show.
Standing in Times Square in New York City, Jamil eats McDonald’s fries and gives her her best Titania grin, adding the following caption:
“WAITING FOR THE FINAL EPISODE OF SHE HULK LIKE…”
On this post and his retweets, Jamil was responding to a series of trolls criticizing the series.
To a fan who asked who exactly is waiting for the series, she said answered by asking why so many men are “so upset:”
“lol…why are so many men so upset?
In reply to a now-deleted tweet from the same profile, Jamil highlighted how exhausting it is to grapple with some comments She Hulkespecially by selected male viewers:
“Am I toxic? You happened to be rude to me online without knowing me. you are toxic A woman who responds politely to your rudeness is toxic? You need our show because it highlights your type of behavior. Some men are exhausting for women to deal with and not take responsibility.”
Another fan expressed a sense of disappointment on Jamil’s behalf at the slow build-up through seven episodes and was even certain the show won’t be continued in a second season.
Only Jamil divided her appreciation for being able to live a dream and meet all of her favorite Marvel actors through her experience:
“Dude, who cares? I need to live my dream and be on a Marvel project and go to events where I can meet all my favorite Marvel stars and talk to them about their movies and I got PAID?! My cup is FULL. But how’s your life?”
they also answered to a tweet calling her character a joke in the final episode, noting that that’s the whole point of the show:
“It’s a parody. That’s the point. Still don’t get these 7 episodes?”
Jamil takes fans straight to She-Hulk’s escape
Even though Jameela Jamil hasn’t seen much screen time She HulkIn the first seven episodes of , she has been a regular present throughout its seven-week run to date to promote the show. She was one of many voices targeting fans who took unnecessary footage on the latest Disney+ series, particularly due to the sexist nature of some of the comments.
She Hulk has experienced some struggles with viewers by certain metrics over the past few weeks, despite managing to add an exciting new character to the MCU’s growing lore.
Additionally, with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil just days away from his MCU return, there will be plenty of interest to see just how much his inclusion will boost viewership and potentially increase reception for the show at this point. Regardless, it’s clear that the team behind this Marvel Studios project is poised to stand up to these kinds of criticisms at every turn.
Episode 8 of She-Hulk: Lawyer Premieres on Disney+ on Thursday, October 6th.
