Drake has apparently confirmed his new project your loss that he’s signed a record deal worth $500 million.
On the song “Major Distribution” from his new project together with 21 Savage, Drizzy spits: “Bad Bunny Numbers, it’s a robbery / Five hundred million just for Aubrey.”
The text likely refers to his alleged re-signing to Universal earlier this year, which reportedly netted the 6 Gods a $400 million payday at the time.
UMG CEO Lucian Grainge described the contract diversity as a “comprehensive, multi-faceted deal” that would cover Drake’s “recordings, publishing, merchandise and visual media projects”. An insider also told the outlet that the deal was “LeBron-sized.”
The deal likely went under after Drake fulfilled his contractual obligations with his fifth studio album Scorpio back in 2018. The OVO boss also spat some cryptic bars about the lucrative deal with his “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” last March.
“360 degrees ahead, everything closes in.” He raps on the track, possibly referring to raising $360 million.

The 6 God made headlines when he implied on the song ‘Circo Loco’ that Megan Thee Stallion lied about being shot in the foot by Tory Lanez, which Meg scathingly refuted.
Drake also caused a stir with his song “Middle Of The Ocean,” in which he raps about having issues with Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit. It was rumored that sometime in 2015, Drizzy and Serena were romantically involved.
“Sidebar, Serena, your husband is a groupie.” Drizzling spit. “He claims we don’t have a problem, but no, boo, it’s like you go get sushi. We could show up to them whenever we wanted, like Suzuki.”
Drizzy also hinted in “Circo Loco” that his reconciliation with Kanye West was purely as a favor to respected music executive J. Prince. “Linking with the opps, bitch, I did that shit for J. Prince/ Bitch, I did it for the mob ties.” Drake raps.
You got wind of the disrespect but decided to let it go. “I’ve already done enough that I’ve given this man his flowers several times[.] Let’s see who real ops are in this music game,” he tweeted. “Imagine all the rappers on the same page and everyone cleaning up each other’s contracts. It’s kingdom time[.] Dear Drake #lovespeech.”
DRAM wasn’t happy with Drake’s dig at the song “BackOutsideBoyz,” either, where he raps, “Tried to bring me the drama, he don’t know how we cha-cha slide (Yeah)
The text appeared to be a dig when DRAM was taken down by Drizzy’s security in 2015.
“Yeah, someone’s telling Drake to shut the fuck up, man,” DRAM said in a response video posted to social media. “Five damn years ago. That n-gga never touched me, n-gga I squeezed his ass. His damn bodyguards, goddamn I’m not gonna hold you, his bodyguards were after the boy, but it was his bodyguards who did it, not his bitch ass. He doesn’t touch me. He’s a slut, you know that.”
Megan Thee Stallion also didn’t spare words when she attacked Drizzy over his comments.
“Stop using my shooting for punch bitch N-ggas’ ass! Since when is it cool to joke about women getting shot!” she wrote on Twitter. “You N-Ggas, especially RAP N-GGAS, be lame! Ready to boycott shoes and clothes but black woman gets screwed when she says one of y’all homeboys abused her.
“And when the mf facts come out, remember all your favorite fucking rappers standing behind a n-gga who shot a woman. People attack me, you guys respond, I’m defending myself now, I’m doing too much…every time it never stops and it didn’t happen until I came out and said I was shot…y’all don’t ok cool fuck it, bye.”
