Two more minutes.

Potieria regains the guard. Stack pass to Negumereanu, can’t get the back as Potieria stands. One-legged puts him back on top. Standing over Potieria with a minute to go. He lets him up. Counter to the right of Negumereanu. Potieria low kick. 10-9 Negumereanu.

Final result: Negumereanu def. Potieria by TKO (knees and punches)


170 lbs.: Orion Cosce vs. Mike Mathetha

Round 1: Low kicks from Mathetha at the start. Solid combinations in the middle cage. More kicks pile up in range. Cosce lands an overhand left, then shoots the fence a minute later. Mathetha’s knees as he defends himself. Two minutes later. Cosce lands on his own knees. Mathetha gets double unders and reverse. In reverse order. Cosce tries a head-arm throw, no dice. Nice hip throw into lateral control two minutes before the end.

Hammerfist by Cosce, doesn’t land much. He lands an elbow, looks backwards as Mathetha stands up. An awkward suplex almost ends up being down. Back to grinding the fence. Mathetha tries a headbutt at the break. Nice headbutt at the bell. 10-9 Cosce.

Round 2: Mathethe returns to kicks and lands a solid left hand. Cosce ties, avoids a throw, is brought to the fence. Ranging by position. A minute in. Shoulder slap by Cosce. elbow try. Two minutes later. Cosce tries to change planes. Separation. Lowkick by Mathetha. Body kick in combination. Two more minutes.

Cosce left hook, Mathetha headkick. Mathetha with an elbow. Cosce looks tired and gets cracked by a spinning fist while landing his own. He manages to captivate. Just a minute. Cosce completely gassed, eats another elbow. He changes levels. Mathetha tries to land elbows while defending. He slips, throws a knee, lands a final jab. 10-9 Mathetha.

Round 3: Mathetha hits low kicks. Counterhook on the left. He shoots a knee, is pulled to the fence. One minute in. A nice lateral drop puts Cosce on top in lateral control. half guard. Mathetha gets on her knees and works her way up. Cosce attempts a lift, grabs his back, and chases the RNC two minutes later. Arm triangle swap, lose it. Full integration two minutes before the end.

Cosce tries to get the arm triangle back, nothing helps. Now on the other side. elbow. Mathetha tries to get up, North-South gives up. Takes back one minute before the end. Now try to drop GnP. half guard. 10-9 Cosce.
