The band and crew were scheduled to play at Rogers Arena in Vancouver when they were stopped at the border by agents.

“Zac refused to leave his crew members behind because they’re like family, so he decided to cancel the show. He’s very upset about it because he loves his fans, but he always says his crew – they’re like family.”

Rogers Arena officials said the show was canceled due to “unforeseen logistical issues,” according to their website, and then refunded all ticket holders after the abrupt cancellation just hours before it was scheduled to begin.

“We are sorry to announce that we will not be able to perform in Vancouver tonight,” Brown wrote on the band’s Facebook page Friday night. “Our Canadian fans are incredible and we would love nothing more than to spend an evening of music together. The musician went on to reveal that they have been performing regularly in Canada for the past decade and even held two shows in the country earlier this year.

“Every time we came into Canada we were at the mercy of a single border guard who decides who gets to work and unfortunately not all of them could make it into the country last night,” the statement read, before Brown recounted how her band motto is to stick together on and off the stage.
