Eagle-eyed football fans on Twitter on Monday got a sneak peek of a dozen new Nike national team kits, including eight sets to be worn at the 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup in Qatar in November and December.
Nike will officially unveil a slew of new national team kits later this week. But Twitter users @esvaphane β who has posted credible club and national team kit leaks in the past β slammed them on Monday with graphics and photos of new home and away kits for 12 nations. Reliable sources have confirmed to SportsLogos.net that the graphics and photos accurately reflect how the final kits will look.
All 12 countries will use Nike’s new Vaporknit template; Here’s a look at all 12 countries, starting with those that qualified for the 2022 World Cup:
πΆπ¦ QATAR
The host country will wear maroon kits with mirrored detailing along the sleeve cuffs the national flag. The away kit is mainly white with gold spots that fade in and out under a pattern of connected circles.
π¦πΊ AUSTRALIA
Australia maintains its traditional yellow home look, this time with a tonal marble pattern. The sleeve cuffs are green, as is an insert on the back collar. The away jersey is dark blue with mint green collar inserts and sleeve cuffs. The national team crest also appears in monochromatic mint green. Both shirts have a seven-pointed star on the back collar.

Croatia’s traditional checkerboard pattern gets modern twists on both the home and away kits. The home kits feature red squares on a white base, with some missing for a more pixelated appearance. Light blue squares are blurred and distorted on the dark blue away shirts as they radiate out from the national team crest on the left chest.
π«π· FRANCE
France keeps things simple with their home kits, which appear more grey-blue than in previous years. The national team crest and Nike logo are gold-colored, while small French tricolor appear on the sleeve cuffs. The away kit features a subtle pattern of scenes from across France’s history printed all over the front and sleeves of the white base.
π³π± NETHERLANDS
The Netherlands stays at home with its traditional orange colour, this time with an abstract tonal pattern – possibly inspired by a lion’s mane? β all over the front and on the sleeves. The Nike logo and the back collar insert are black. The away kit is blue, with black collar panels and black sleeve cuffs with narrow orange stripes down the middle. The shade of orange on the away kit crest appears to be darker than the home kit crest

While @esvaphane Poland’s red jersey as the home jersey, the Polish national team traditionally wears white at home. Their new white jersey features a tonal pattern across the shoulders and sleeves and the Polish coat of arms on the left chest. The away kit is solid red and the white crew-neck collar and sleeve cuffs have narrow red stripes down the middle.
π΅πΉ PORTUGAL
Portugal breaks somewhat with tradition with their new home kits as they usually don’t feature as much green as the leaked graphic shows. The red and green blocks are split diagonally across the front of the shirt. The base of the away kit is off-white and features a band around the chest that extends partially to the back, with green and red split roughly in proportion to their split the portuguese flag. The sleeve cuffs and the back collar insert are black.
πΈπ¦ SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia traditionally wears white at home and their new white jerseys feature a tonal pattern of branches, leaves and feathers. The crew neck and the Nike logo are green. The away kit features an abstract tonal pattern on a dark green base.
Nike had previously released Brazil home and away kits Beginning of August. Nike kit national teams that weren’t part of Monday’s leaks include:

The following countries didn’t qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but will still receive new national team kits.
π¨π³ CHINA
China’s new home kits are predominantly red, with darker red panels on the front and back of the collar and near the hem. The sleeve cuffs are dark red with narrow yellow stripes down the middle. The away kit is mint green, with a tonal dot pattern radiating from the hem on the front of the shirt. Dots also radiate from the collar on each sleeve. The inserts on the back collar and sleeve cuffs are the same slightly darker shade of green as the dots.
π³π¬ NIGERIA
Nigeria’s new home kit features a green base covered all over with panels of different tonal patterns. However, in front and in the middle is the silhouette of a bird – probably an eagle because of the national team “Super Eagle” nickname. The away shirt is white with a pattern of black and green triangles on the sleeves and green panels on the front collar, back collar and cuffs.
π³πΏ NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand goes back to basics with their new kits. The only decorations on the white home kit are the black crew-neck collar and sleeve cuffs. The national team’s logo, a white fern leaf, sits on the left chest and is outlined in black. The black away kit has no embellishments; The only things that stand out are the Nike logo and the fern leaf on the chest in white.
πΉπ· TURKIYE
TΓΌrkiye traditionally wears red at home and white with a red ribbon across the chest. Their new home kits will feature a tonal geometric pattern on the front, apart from a solid red band on the chest. The tonal pattern is echoed in the red band of the away kit, which also features narrow red stripes running through the collar and sleeve cuffs. Both kits feature the white star and crescent the Turkish flag as a comb.
