Is it time Victor’s daughter was taken down a notch?
Is it just us, or has Victoria been particularly inconsiderate since the whole Ashland thing went down? There was a time when she was head-to-head with Adam in Who Is Most Like Her Dad? Sweepstakes but current day Young & Restless has them far ahead in this race.
Her final move – planning to take a controlling interest in the company from Devon and Lily, striking a deal with her disaffected cousin Nate and ousting Sally as CEO of Newman Media to put him in her place when the plan was scuttled – wasn’t well -received by, well, almost everyone… on screen and out!
When does Victoria get her comeuppance? I’ve been waiting for months. #YR

I’m so glad Devon brought up Neil. Victoria has completely disrespected her friend with this shady deal #YR

Devon confronts Nate and Victoria only for her to pretend her innocence. He didn’t buy it and called her for messing around with the late Neil’s family inheritance. Ouch. Elena won’t be too pleased to hear that Nate is now working for Victoria, given her new take on Victor’s daughter, which is a far cry from the days when they gleefully compared cooking podcasts and double dating!

But it’s Sally who’s unemployed. As Nick pointed out, she’s nothing but resilient, so where will she end up next? Jabot/Marchetti are absent for obvious reasons. She certainly won’t want to work with Phyllis and Summer even if they did have her, which they probably wouldn’t do, even if Adam pushed for it. Also, Sally has declined his offer of help and Nick’s, stating that she will find her next job on her own, thank you.
We have a feeling the logical spot for her will be where she could do the most harm to her former boss, Victoria… if she was so inclined.
Sally doesn’t seem out for revenge right now – and she’s clearly trying to be a better person these days – but if she could get back at Victoria by just doing her best in her new position, well, well, she wouldn’t be bad, right?
As Nick has pointed out more than once, Sally had some fantastic ideas that she wanted to implement at Newman Media. Why not take these successful concepts to their competitor – Chancellor-Winters – who also happens to have a media division with podcasts and streaming?
There is no but twoCOO positions at Lily and Devon’s company are open now that Nate is gone and Billy has quit, so it seems like a no-brainer.
It would be nice karma for Devon and Lily to hire the woman who fired Victoria so she could install Nate after their failed takeover plan, and have that woman then help them beat Newman Media with the very ideas they wanted wanted to implement there, before she was unceremoniously unloaded. Of course, that outcome is contingent on Nate not being as successful in his new position, which is entirely possible since he trained in medicine rather than business.
Although it’s not really a revenge plan, per se, we’re sure Sally would be okay with her ideas helping her new employer take down Victoria’s media department given all that happened. We’d even go so far as to say Nick would like it too, given how much he opposed his sister’s cutthroat act.
