As Young & Restless makes its way into the November sweeps, there’s a lot to unpack. Let’s get straight to the point, starting with the touching scenes between Melissa Claire Egan and Jason Thompson as Chelsea and Billy during and after their suicide attempt…

Here for you

Egan and Thompson gave award-winning performances when Billy helped Chelsea with her suicide attempt on the roof of the Grand Phoenix, and the material they got to work with was pretty amazing too. Last week I expressed my disappointment that Chelsea didn’t go ‘soap crazy’ and I stand by that – it would have been truer to mold for the character – but the writers are clearly going in a certain direction with Chelsea and Billy . Case in point: Lily’s reaction when Billy revealed he’d promised his ex-fiancée he’d be there “every step of the way.” You can’t even fault her because she was sick of him running to “save” the other women in his life. It’s safe to say that this couple is officially on the rocks.

There were a few bones to pick from the story, such as Billy suddenly and more comfortably in tune with what was happening to Chelsea than Adam, Billy dumped Lily at the Glam Club, and Billy calling Sharon was confronted her history questionable Chelsea. but She’s a nice link to Adam, who by the way deserves to know what’s going on, if for no other reason than for Connor’s sake, no matter how Billy feels about him. I was stunned that they let Billy say this line to Chelsea after the suicide attempt: “I think everything is forgivable.” Maybe I misheard because…really?!? Do but you, Billy?!?

Everything booked

As wonderful as it is to have a troublemaker on screen, I’d rather have one like Ashland to support in some ways, as opposed to this extra sleazy version of Tucker McCall. Is it the constant grin? I don’t know, but even knowing that his agenda is partially “benevolent” (to use his word) – in that he wants to gift Chancellor to Devon and Jabot to Ashley – doesn’t help me relate to him or the idea of it warm him up with Ashley. Still, it was fun watching her spar on Friday’s episode.

Say what?!?

This whole Diane and Tucker storyline requires the Abbotts to be dumbed down to the point where it’s possible. It never made sense for Jack to represent Diane to Phyllis, especially when he’d just got back into bed with Red, but it did Yes, really doesn’t add now that she was right about Diane cheating. It was amazing to hear him rewind recent events so he could keep blaming Phyllis (without saying a word about Nikki’s or Ashley’s involvement, btw) and to see him close in to get Diane off the hook to let. You’d think, like Summer, he’d see the writing on the wall and want Diane far away from Kyle and Harrison. Speaking of which, we’ve started to see the beginning of trouble for “Skyle” as they take different positions in the Diane drama.

Karma is a coming

Elena pretty much said what I was thinking when she confronted Nate about his gullibility about Victoria’s agenda. He trusts too much the Newman, who appreciates his loyalty to her but has not yet questioned her own loyalty. Would she throw it under the bus to save her company or her family? She sure would. There may be some kind of quid pro quo in store for both of them if this arrangement doesn’t work out as well as they think. If Nate is overwhelmed and Sally brings her amazing ideas to the competition, as I suspect, there will be some karma. Whether Elena takes him back or not is the other question. She might like for a while but they just don’t work on the same wavelength so she might find herself drawn back to Devon at some point and that brings us to our next cheating scandal which isn’t Elena and Devon but.. .

Soap Mess

Devon and Abby share a passionate kiss. We saw a love triangle between Devon, Abby and Chance coming, and indeed next week’s preview is teasing the best friends into indulging in a spontaneous liplock after Devon told Abby that Chance is a fool for not letting her and Dominic put in first place. hmm Well, he’s less of a fool than a cop, and while the earlier Naked Heiress version of Abby would have loved the rough and tumble of life, today’s Abby seems better suited to a rich husband who will put her on a pedestal. It sounds like Devon fits the bill, but I’m afraid they’d be bored as a couple. Anyway, it seems only a matter of time before Chance hits the market again, and I know just the right woman for him. Note: She was a fabulous wife of another Genoa City cop who happened to be his late partner. Did you see Sharon bring a pastry to Chance the other night when he “looked like he could use it”? I did.

In other scam news, Young & Restless Spoilers tease that something hot will be going on between Noah and Audra in the coming days. We know their relationship has been fiery in the past, so the chances of this interaction resulting in a kiss or even more seem pretty darn good. Cheer up Allie!

Sally’s choice

After being fired from Newman Media, Sally has to make all sorts of decisions, but two very important ones – where to work and who to play with. As the writers continue their game of musical jobs, we’re pretty sure she’ll end up at Chancellor-Winters, which offers the best momentum story-wise, especially since she excelled there and would leave it to the former boss who fired her. who happens to be the same woman who plotted a takeover of Devon and Lily’s company – Victoria.

Which man Sally will choose to move on with, even though the show is fueling new hope for “Ally,” it just doesn’t seem like Adam and Sally are still around. It’s more dramatic that Sally chooses Nick at this point, so expect her to choose to move on with him and not his brother.

uh oh

At the end of Friday’s episode, Harrison told Diane he felt sick and she noticed he had a fever. We all know what the means! More on that in an upcoming story next week on SOAPS.

This is just my opinion. Please share your thoughts on the current storylines in the comments section below!
