Cyberpunk 2077‘s controversial story doesn’t seem to have dampened CD Projekt Red’s ambitions at all. The Polish development company announced that a sequel will eventually come, currently codenamed Project Orion. It also has three witcher Projects in the works including a full sequel to the trilogy to build on the success of The witcher 3.

The full list of CDPR’s upcoming release plans has been teased in a new one strategy presentation shared on Twitter and I’m still trying to envision how the studio, which continues to promise no more issues, will deliver everything before the PlayStation 7 comes out. Here’s everything it revealed today:

  • Project Hadar – new IP
  • Project Sirius – Witcher game from The Molasses Flood
  • Project Polaris – New Witcher Trilogy by CDPR
  • Project Canis Majoris – Story-driven third-party open-world Witcher RPG
  • Phantom Liberty – Cyberpunk 2077 expansion by CDPR
  • Project Orion – Cyberpunk 2077 sequel by CDPR

Details are not known about any of these games, but the clear understanding is that CDPR will double witcher and cyberpunk Licenses while still trying to make something completely new on the side. Around 350 people are currently working on the phantom freedom DLC is scheduled for release in 2023. The sequel Orion will be set in the same universe. Sirius will be an “innovative variant”. The Witcher Universe” by The Molasses Flood, best known for the roguelike adventure, The Flame in the Flood. Polaris, meanwhile, will effectively be The Witcher 4 and currently has around 160 developers involved in it. And Canis Majoris will be a separate one witcher Series managed by an unnamed third party studio run by ex-Witcher designers.

A timeline as to when these grand plans will materialize was also tenuous. The new witcher The trilogy is set to be released over a six-year period, but is still in pre-production while Hadar is in the concept stages. And Orion, the Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel doesn’t seem to be in production yet. Recall that CDPR was announced first Cyberpunk 2077 in 2012 and released its first trailer in 2013, almost a decade before the game was actually released.

CDPR also outlined its intention to bring multiplayer to its upcoming games, something that had been rumored about Cyberpunk 2077 but ultimately fell out during its supposedly rushed and rocky development and post-launch period. “We’re introducing multiplayer to most of our new games to enrich the single-player experience,” reads a slide in the presentation. While live-service games and microtransactions are the revenue streams for many gaming publishers these days, it remains to be seen how these mechanics will smoothly integrate into the massive single-player adventures that most fans come to CDPR for.

As part of these new plans, the company will also expand with a new studio in North America, announced joint CEO and co-founder Marcin IwiƄski dismount from role to advisor to the board of directors. To Reports of forced overtime and chaotic development on Cyberpunk 2077CDPR committed (for the second time). work more sustainably and humanely on future projects.

Finally, in case you’re worried that CDPR won’t do anything in the future, the company announced that it also plans to expand further into mobile gaming and TV to build on the success of The Witcher and Cyberpunk: Edgerunner on Netflixthe latter of which almost single-handedly contributed to the kickstart Cyberpunk 2077‘s recent revival. The presentation is undoubtedly aimed primarily at exciting investors and new applications, but I’m sure it will also give fans plenty to speculate about as they wait years for CDPR’s next game.
