Last week, Apple released the iPhone 14, 14 Pro along with the Watch Series 8 and Watch SE (2nd Gen) in India. Now Apple fans can buy the top-end Watch Ultra and the new AirPods Pro (2nd gen).
The new Watch Ultra is Apple’s most advanced and rugged watch yet. It’s a military grade all-weather smartwatch with MIL-STD 810H, tested for extreme weather conditions and water pressure up to 100 meters and even comes with EN13319 certification, a depth gauge with water temperature sensor. It can work under extreme environmental conditions from -20 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius.
It features a massive Always-On Retina LTPO OLED display with 2,000 nits of brightness and comes in a 49mm titanium body. On the front it has a flat sapphire crystal display with edge protection. It also boasts IP6X dustproof certifications and users can customize the action button that sits next to the Digital Crown.
It is powered by a 64-bit Apple S8 dual-core processor, W3 wireless chipset and U1 Ultra Wideband. Apple Watch Ultra uses two new motion sensors and an advanced sensor fusion algorithm to detect serious car crashes.
Also, the Apple Watch Ultra can easily last 36 hours on a single charge, and if you turn on sleep mode and other power saving settings, it can last for 60 hours. This is unprecedented in the entire product range of the watch series since the first model (2015). It costs Rs 89,900.

On the other hand, the new AirPods Pro have a refreshed charging case design and a lanyard loop.
The AirPods Pro feature a new generation H2 processor that promises an exceptional acoustic experience and cancels up to twice as much noise as the previous generation AirPods Pro. With a new low-distortion audio driver and custom amplifier, AirPods Pro can ensure they deliver richer bass and crystal clear sound across a wider frequency range. For the first time, Apple will also offer a new, extra-small earbud to help even more people have a better AirPods Pro experience.
With the transparency mode, the user can listen to the outside world and also listen to music or answer a call. This is useful when you are crossing a street or traveling overseas on a mass transit vehicle such as a bus or metro/subway and can hear the announcements of the next destination.
It also supports spatial audio to provide an immersive listening experience. This feature allows the user to perceive the sound individually based on the size and shape of their head and ears.
The new AirPods Pro promise nearly six hours of listening time with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) on, that’s an hour and a half extra listening time compared to the first iteration. And the charging case can charge the AirPods Pro four more times, which means the latter can last for 30 hours.
The earbuds, case and retail packaging are made using an eco-friendly manufacturing process and even the materials are responsibly sourced. Inside, for the first time, some of the components such as magnets are made from 100 percent recycled rare earth elements – 100 percent recycled gold in the plating of several circuit boards.
The case also uses 100% recycled tin in the motherboard solder and 100% recycled aluminum in the hinge. AirPods Pro is free from potentially harmful substances like mercury, BFRs, PVC and beryllium.
And the redesigned packaging has eliminated the need for the outer plastic film altogether, and has made 90 percent or more of the packaging from fibre-based materials. It costs Rs 26,900.
Apple India online store offers potential buyers engravings such as emojis, numbers, special characters, names and words in English and seven regional languages - Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati and Telugu. Apple offers free engraving service in India.
