On Saturday November 5th, it was confirmed that singer and legendary teen star Aaron Carter had died at the age of 34.

Aaron’s rep said in a statement to NBC News, “We are extremely saddened and shocked to confirm today the death of Aaron Carter. His cause of death is currently under investigation. We ask that you give the family time and they will have more information as it becomes available.”

Aaron, who researches substance abuse and mental health issues, had been working with author Andy Symonds for the past three years on a personal memoir chronicling his life and experiences.

Despite his death, the book now bears the title Aaron Carter: An Incomplete Story of an Incomplete Life – is due to hit shelves next week via publisher Ballast Books.

Several excerpts from the memoir have already surfaced online, some of which center around his past relationship with his teenage icon, Hilary Duff.

Shortly after his guest appearance in an episode of their popular Disney series, Aaron and Hilary began dating Lizzie McGuirewhich aired in 2001 before officially splitting in 2003.

Following news of Aaron’s death, Hilary shared a heartfelt Instagram post recalling his life. “For Aaron,” she wrote. “I am deeply sorry that life has been so hard for you and you had to fight in front of the world.”

“You had an absolutely effervescent charm,” she continued. “Boy, my teenage self loved you dearly. At this time, send love to your family. Sleep calmly.”

Well, according to an excerpt of Aaron’s memoir obtained by the New York Post, the late star has made an intimate claim about his past relationship with Hilary.

Aaron reportedly claims that Hilary was the first person he had sex with and vice versa. “Hilary and I lost our virginity in a hotel… in LA. I think it was her birthday, maybe her 13th, but I don’t remember. Her friends came in and we just yelled at them to get out,” he writes.

Fans immediately questioned the validity of the claim, as Aaron previously revealed that he and Hilary started dating on his 13th birthday: December 7, 2000. Hilary’s 13th birthday was on September 28, 2000.

Well, Hilary has hit back at the claims herself, telling Billboard and the Daily Mail that the information is “uninformed” and “unverified clickbait.”

“It’s disgusting to water down Aaron’s life story into what appears to be unverified clickbait for profit,” she said. “In no way do I condone shed some light on what is so obviously an uninformed, heartless heist.”

Hilary went on to slam the editor of the incomplete memoir for choosing to proceed with publication after Aaron’s death — a decision that was made widespread test from online fans.

“It is truly sad that within a week of Aaron’s death there is a publisher who recklessly launches a book to capitalize on this tragedy without taking the time or care necessary to verify the validity of his work.” , she said.

Hilary has since been lauded for her comments against the release of Aaron’s memoir — not only from fans but also from representatives of the late singer.

Thank you Hilary for testifying while speaking with him New York PostAaron’s representative, Taylor Helgeson, said, “We as Aaron’s management would like to thank Hilary Duff for her testimony on the book that is about to be published.”

“In the few short days following the death of our dear friend, we have attempted to grieve and process while at the same time dealing with obscenely disrespectful and unauthorized releases, including an album titled Blacklisteda single entitled ‘Lately’ and now a book,” they continued.

“This is a time for mourning and reflection, not heartless greed and seeking attention,” they added. “We ask those responsible to remove the above content and not to post any more content without the consent of his family, friends and associates.”
