The Monday Night Raw season premiere takes place tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
There will be a D-Generation X reunion celebrating the group’s 25th anniversary, with appearances from DX members Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg and X-Pac.
WWE Champion Roman Reigns and The Bloodline will also perform live on the show.
Bobby Lashley defends his US Championship against Seth Rollins tonight. During Saturday’s Extreme Rules, Rollins lost to Matt Riddle in the fight pit. However, Lashley issued the challenge last week after Rollins laid him out with two curb stomps.
Johnny Gargano gets his hands on Austin Theory in a one-on-one match. The theory cost Gargano his match against Otis last week.
The effects of Extreme Rules will also be seen on tonight’s Raw. Saturday’s pay-per-view concluded with Bray Wyatt celebrating his much-anticipated return to WWE.
Our live coverage begins at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

View Summary —
Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg and X-Pac were in gorilla position in DX gear, asking each other if they were ready. They then pointed to Triple H from the off to ask if he was ready. The camera panned to Hunter, who was wearing a suit and a headset.
Hunter told them to have fun but be careful because they can’t do what they used to do anymore. He warned her not to swear too. They took turns swearing, some of which were censored. Michaels asked who missed four tails. They cut to four toy roosters. Michaels, Road Dogg and X-Pac are gone so I’m guessing the reunion is later.
Corey Graves welcomed us to Raw and introduced our new play-by-play announcer, Kevin Patrick. They ran down Raw and said we were re-watching Bray Wyatt’s return last night (so he doesn’t necessarily have to show up tonight).
The Bloodline segment
Roman Reigns and the Bloodline entered. Reigns said you always look ahead when you’re the greatest of all time. His father always taught him that the loudest in the room is always the weakest in the room. Sami Zayn suddenly looked worried but Reigns actually picked Jey Uso.
Zayn interrupted and the crowd sang for him. Zayn wanted to deal with Jey on behalf of Reigns. Reigns chuckled and said, “He really is the honorary Uce.” Reigns happily allowed him to continue.
Zayn spoke to Jey, who did his best to ignore him. Zayn told Jey that his behavior hasn’t been very Us-y lately. The crowd chanted “Us-y” and Jimmy Uso was amused. Zayn got the crowd singing for Jimmy and Solo Sikoa. Jimmy had fun with it, but Sikoa stayed stoic. Zayn told Jey he had to be cool like the rest of them.
Jey looked over Zayn and asked Reigns if he would tease him. Reigns basically blew him away because that was Zayn’s segment.
Matt Riddle interrupted. Riddle let us know that he beat Seth Rollins in the fighting pit. He knew there was one stipulation that he couldn’t fight Reigns for the title again, but his argument for a title match was “come on bro”. He got the crowd going. Reigns said no.
Riddle said maybe another member of the Bloodline should fight him. The crowd sang for Sami so Jey told him to do it. They got into a minor argument until Zayn challenged Riddle and he accepted.
(Zayn was good here, but that wasn’t a big segment.)

There was an Extreme Rules recap video where they showed brief highlights from each match. They often show video packs of course, but this was something a little bit different. (They didn’t show Wyatt’s return.)
Johnny Gargano defeats Austin Theory (8:50)
Theory controlled with an early break after putting Gargano on the backcourt with a suplex. Theory used the Gargano Escape, but Gargano escaped and used the Gargano Escape, but Theory escaped and hit a Superkick. Gargano came back in a DDT with his own superkick and a suicide dive, followed by One Final Beat for the pinfall win.

Young Rock’s Uli Latukefu was shown ringside.
Rey Mysterio def. Chad Gable (with Otis) (7:47)
Rey and Gable could have a killer match, but that should only give Rey a decisive win.
Rey took control just in time for Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio to get in before a commercial break. (Ripley wore a makeshift “BETH” armband as if Beth Phoenix were dead.) Rey went for a jump, which was caught by Otis, but Rey slipped and drove him into the ring post. Rey then gave Gable a 619 and Springboard Splash for the pinfall win.
— After the match, Dominik wanted Rey to hit him. Rey fought off the rest of Judgment Day instead. Rey went for a 619 (against Damian Priest I think) but Dom clotheslined him.
Dom begged Rey again to hit him. Rey wanted to leave, so Dom pushed him from behind. Ripley held Rey against the ropes for Dom to hit a 619. Dom was towering over Rey as they abruptly went for the break.
[SECOND HOUR]After a pause, they showed a video of Rey crying on the apron while Dom looked on.
Part of the Last Judgment
They boasted about Finn Bálor’s win over Edge at Extreme Rules. Bálor said he pissed on our parade and other members of Judgment Day should have reminded us that he got Edge to say, “I’m quitting.” Bálor wanted to remind us what happened, so they played a very long video package of the game. Dom tried to speak, but he basically gets the Vickie Guerrero treatment.
Bálor moved on to AJ Styles but didn’t speak long before Styles cut him off. Styles couldn’t believe their long friendship would lead to this. Bálor was about to speak, but Styles told him he wasn’t there to argue. Styles said Bálor was right. Everything he needed was right in front of him. He knew what he needed was friends and family.
Styles got on his knees in front of Bálor before they hugged. Balor was delighted. Styles told him, “I wasn’t talking about you.”
Karl Anderson and Luke gallows entered. They joined Styles. The crowd chanted “holy shit”. Gallows hit Dominik and the two sides fought. Styles, Gallows and Anderson almost had Bálor to themselves, but he managed to escape.
(I don’t know if it’s just me or the mix of crowds, but so far it’s hard to make sense of this crowd. Dom deservedly got good heat and the crowd banged for Styles. They seemed happy, too to be that Gallows and Anderson returned with Styles. But other than that, there were some strange noises.)

Byron Saxton had an interview with Damage CTRL. He asked Bayley a question, but Dakota Kai answered instead. Kai told Saxton she was at rock bottom before Bayley picked her up. IYO SKY said something in Kai’s ear. Kai said they would do anything for Bayley and she would get the gold she deserved. Bayley said she was going to kick Candice LaRae’s butt tonight.
********
Reigns, Heyman, and Sikoa were about to leave the arena before Jey approached Reigns to discuss something. Reigns basically said there was nothing to discuss because he wanted to explore New York and it was Jey’s job to make sure Zayn wins tonight. Jey wondered about Sikoa but Reigns said Sikoa was with him tonight. Reigns, Heyman and Sikoa rode in the car together. Jey seemed annoyed.

Candice LeRae defeats Bayley (6:08)
They had a normal match that went through a break and LeRae clinched the surprise surprise win with a rollup.
– Kai and SKI ran after LeRae to attack, so Bianca Belair ran out to save, but the numbers game was too much and Damage CTRL put her down. Bayley gave Belair an elbow drop on Belair’s title belt.
(There seemed to be a lot of false booing here.)

Maryse gave Miz a birthday present. It was a baseball bat.
The Miz’s birthday party
Miz was thrilled to discover his baseball bat was signed by baseball’s best home run hitter, José Ramírez – not Aaron Judge. There was a table set out with presents, so Maryse told him to grab one. He did, but as he lifted it off the table, Dexter Lumis’ head popped through the table.
Miz puts the gift box over Lumis’ head, but Lumis shows up in the ring a moment later anyway. Lumis tried to choke Miz, but Miz escaped after accidentally pushing Maryse in the cake. Miz and Maryse both escaped before Lumis used a knife to grab a piece of cake.
This felt like a complete waste of time.
******
Michaels, Road Dogg and X-Pac herded two jobbers up the back before being approached by Miz and Maryse, who complained about Lumis. Road Dogg suggested Miz take on Lumis next week and if he lost, Lumis would get his balls. Miz accepted. (I don’t think the ball thing was an official rule.)

1v2 Handicap Match: Omos (w/MVP) def. Two Jobbers (1:18)
Omos hit two guys and then downed them with tree slams.
[THIRD HOUR]They replayed the entire Bray Wyatt return segment of Extreme Rules.
********
Bobby Lashley lined up for his title match. Lashley reminded us that he beat Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. He was ready for Seth Rollins and called him out.
Return of Brock Lesnar
Lesnar stepped in for Rollins. Lesnar wore blue jeans and a denim jacket. Lesnar was in good spirits and seemed happy to see Lashley. That was before he suplexed Lashley and gave him consecutive F5s. The crowd shouted “Welcome back”. Lesnar stuck Lashley in a kimura before releasing. Lesnar put on his cowboy hat and left.
